Rather than focusing purely on technical infrastructure, this visit prioritised deep relationship‑building across Zambia’s full trade value chain — spanning regulators, domestic banks, large trading enterprises, Chinese‑Zambian business circles and local innovation stakeholders. We explored how modern cross‑border finance can resolve persistent operational bottlenecks for Zambian import‑export activity, especially trade links with China and wider Asia, underpinned by Hong Kong’s robust regulated framework.

Across every conversation, one message stood clear: African businesses demand faster, more transparent, and predictable global transaction capabilities.

At RD Technologies, we combine domestic banking expertise with our cross‑border infrastructure stack to compress multi‑day settlement timelines for importers and exporters, reduce fees that erode trade margins, strengthen end‑to‑end transaction oversight for treasury teams, and create improved payment rails for Zambia‑HongKong as well as intra‑African commerce. We build practical, compliant settlement tools shaped by on‑market realities, not one‑size‑fits‑all overseas solutions.

Moving ahead, we will expand our local‑partner network to translate these dialogues into live services that unlock fresh opportunities for African businesses. Beyond regional impact, our larger mission is to revolutionize global payments by building a next-generation infrastructure based on tokenized currencies, making transactions cheaper, faster, and more secure for businesses worldwide.
