RD ezLink grows partner portfolio with Standard Chartered Hong Kong and Ant Bank
Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (“Standard Chartered Hong Kong”) and Ant Bank (Hong Kong) (“Ant Bank”) are joining RD ezLink as potential partner banks, RD ezLink Limited announced today.
The partnership with Standard Chartered Hong Kong and Ant Bank follows an earlier announcement of partnership with Bank of East Asia (BEA), CMB Wing Lung Bank and ZA Bank. RD ezLink’s all digital online corporate identity verification service empowers corporate customers to fulfil the partner banks’ customer due diligence requirements conveniently.
We will soon roll out RD ezLink’s all-digital corporate identity verification solution, which will be able remotely to verify corporate and personal identity documents issued by many countries and regions. RD ezLink’s solution will greatly enhance the efficiency of the partner banks' customer due diligence process in account opening and ongoing maintenance for SMEs.
Norman Chan, Chairman of RD ezLink Limited, said: “I am very pleased that Standard Chartered Hong Kong and Ant Bank have joined RD ezLink as potential partner banks. The partnership will facilitate account opening and maintenance by corporate customers, enhance the efficiency of the bank and improve the access by SMEs to banking services. This would be helpful to financial inclusion.”
Winnie Tung, Head of Business Banking at Standard Chartered Hong Kong commented: “Standard Chartered is dedicated to providing more secure and more convenient banking services for its clients through digitization. We are pleased to have reached a preliminary agreement with RD ezLink to explore the use of Fintech and Regtech to strengthen the financial services for SME clients, improve the efficiency of the customer due diligence processes, and maintain prudent risk management.”
Yvonne Leung, Chief Executive of Ant Bank (Hong Kong) Limited said: “SMEs are the cornerstones of Hong Kong's economy. Given the multiple outbreaks of the pandemic, many SMEs are facing operational difficulties. Ant Bank (Hong Kong) aims to help these SMEs via our digitalize financial inclusion service to weather the storm together. Ant Bank believes that the potential partnership with RD ezLink will help SMEs overcome their cash flow problems and improve our customer services experience through its all-digital corporate identity verification solution.”
Corporate customers generally use services provided by more than one bank to address different business and operational needs, therefore often face tedious and time-consuming processes in providing the same set of company documents and other relevant information to multiple banks for account opening and maintenance, that each bank will also need to verify the corporate information separately. The whole customer due diligence process is both time consuming and costly. Today’s announcement means companies setting up profiles in RD ezLink can streamline access to services of even more banks by maintaining just a single profile for customer due diligence purposes.
Upon RD ezLink’s launch, business owners can remotely build and maintain all-digital profiles for their companies in RD ezLink’s mobile app even if they are out of town. Key people of the companies can also save the hassle of visiting bank branches in person because identity verification is all-digital with RD ezLink.
